Logo & Additional Typography Development

Mood board of possible typeface inspiration

I really like the idea of having very handmade style, script typefaces as it will help to achieve the high market appearance I am aiming my lactose free cheeses towards.

Type Experimentation (by hand)

I then went onto paper and sketched out various script typefaces in the name of my brand. I definitely like the hand writing style with the letters joined together.

On Screen Development

I next downloaded various typefaces to see which could work. I really like the thicker fonts that are clearer to read which will be important when I put it onto my packaging.

I tried out those same typefaces for my additional typography. I would like to use a more rustic font for this so perhaps the top middle font or the fourth one down on the left.

Trying out frames around the logo type.

Testing the logo out against images. I would like their to be an icon or image as part of my logo so this is just an initial test to see how that combination could work - I really like it and think it looks posh and high market.

Mood board of Cows...

Here are some images of illustrated cows that will inspire me with my logo/icon development...

Sketches of Cows...

I like the positioning of the jumping cow and feel it would fit well above my logo

Typography Combinations:

To make sure my typography choices for the logo and additional typography compliment each other I tested out a few combinations. My favourite is in the bottom right hand corner as the logo has a french and sophisticated style as well as being bold, which will be important when it is in smaller size. The additional typography is in a most rustic and chalk style font, which will look more realistic against the black background I am planning on using.

Finished Logo:

Here is my chosen final typography arrangement for my logo with the jumping cow vector.

Finished Additional Typography...

I will be colour coding each type of cheese to distinguish the products. The description of the product is in the same typeface to keep the surface graphics simple and coherent.
